...moreThe whole idea of this book is as well cheesy. at that place is no significant development on the characters. The characters are very plain. I read this book considering I relish some of the Billionaire Boys Gild series.
Billionaires and the virgin miss all the right spot. Dry characters, cheesy story and I only can not connect with any of the characters.

Oh goodness! This hero, just kept digging himself into a hole merely so he could woo the heroine. 3 "quick, fun read" starsOh goodness! This hero, just kept excavation himself into a hole just so he could woo the heroine. His truthful nature, and business, was crass; add that with the potty mouth that he couldn't keep under wraps, then you have a man mode too seedy/jaded for the innocent and down-to-earth heroine.
However, I enjoyed the commencement impression antics and crazy misunderstandings made past both the hero and heroine(comical), and though this was pure fluff, the romance was there in how they run into, how they continued to become on, and how the hero ends upwards doing a morality check just because he wanted the heroine to be proud of him.
Then humor and "doing the right thing" were two things that made this romance quick, sugariness, non too cheesy, and weirdly steamy (the hero'southward dirty talk, and ultimately, near of the sexy talk, seemed obtuse).
Characterization is passable because of the voice in the PoV created in the hero and the heroine, but expect "cute," non deep.
Happy reading.

I bought the oinker routine because the hero changes for the heroine in a big way. No spoilers here except to write that at the stop of the book he's thinking of starting a bingo network. Not just a aqueduct, but a whole network devoted to bingo. Someone'due south not going to exist a billionaire for long.

From the New York Times bestselling writer of the Billionaire Boys Lodge novels comes a sizzling series that pairs rich men looking for romances with some very lucky ladies in waiting…
The Billionaire and the Virgin by Jessica Clare Billionaires and Bridesmaids series #1The Billionaire and the Virgin….a title that I can't possibly resist (just wait at the embrace! It says information technology right there!!). Throw billionaire anywhere in a title and I am jump to read it. I don't know what it is near those rich dudes, but they practise it for me.
The Billionaire and the Virgin is a spinoff of Jessica Clare's Billionaire Boys Club series and takes place around book 5 of that series. Marjorie Ivarsson is a waitress who worked with Bronte, heroine from Stranded with a Billionaire, and is at an island owned by Logan Hawkings, the hero from that aforementioned volume. Bronte and Logan are getting married and they are doing it in manner at the resort they met at, Logan at present owns and that has been redone for the wedding.
Marjorie is ane of Bronte's closest friends and though she hates the spotlight she volition do her all-time to make this wedding awesome for Bronte. Marjorie is half dozen'1″, awkward socially and physically, doesn't beverage or flirt, hangs out with people over the age of 70 and has merely made information technology to "second base" one fourth dimension in her life. That experience was a disaster so she has gone out of her mode to not echo it.
Robert Cannon is also on the island but for very different reasons. He is there to convince Logan to have a chance on a new venture with him. Rob is not a nice person. He is the owner of a cable channel that specializes in naked women and has a famous show chosen "Tits or GTFO". His whole life has been about peddling mankind and making tons of money off of it. Now he wants respectability and Logan is the man who can give information technology to him. He just has to convince the reluctant man to meet with him.
Earlier he tin can convince anyone of anything he pisses off one of the women trying to get on his evidence and she flips over his raft. He happens to be in the bounding main and less than sober. When he comes to, he sees he has been rescued by an affections. A very blonde and tall angel. Before he can get her proper name, she disappears. Later on afterwards a confrontation with Logan he is the process of leaving the hotel when he sees Marjorie coming back from a bachelorette party. He is finally able to get her name and enquire her on a date.
After a quick background bank check he realizes Marjorie is nothing similar his normal women and then he can be nil similar his normal self. He has to adjourn the blasphemous, the booze, and all things connected to his personality.
"
"So practice y'all date a lot, Rob?"
It should have been a coy question, just Marjorie'due south wide-open up gaze told him that she was serious….and she probably wouldn't like the respond. It was on the tip of his tongue to tell her that he could snap his fingers and get more than pussy than a regular man could ever dream of. But she was watching him with that earnest expression and Rob realized that he was probably but as rusty at dating as she was. The girls he usually "dated"? They approached and propositioned, and he let some of them fuck him in exchange for getting on TV or getting into an exclusive party. That wasn't actually dating.
Funny affair is, Marjorie seems to exist doing the same thing. Later on 2 very disastrous dates they both confess they have been playing a part in order to print the other person. Rob tells her how he really is, merely not who he really is, and Marjorie opens upwards to him. As the days go by with simply kissing Rob falls a fiddling more than for innocent Marjorie with each minute they spend together.
Marjorie has never met anyone so patient and kind as Rob. He treats her like a queen and he is the 1 she decides to requite her virginity too. But at present Rob is in an atrocious situation. Logan has figured out he stayed around and has been wooing Marjorie. He makes the wrong assumption and tells Rob to get out Marjorie alone. When Marjorie offers herself to Rob he can't say no because to say no would wreck the small bit of self confidence she has gained around him. Just if he says yes and she finds out how he really is, volition she feel betrayed?
Robert Cannon is the driving force of this volume. There is something about him that makes you like him even though he a true asshole. You lot know at some signal he is going to become his comeuppance and it is going to exist good. He is going to demand a serious plough around in order to make y'all like him and I am happy to say, the reader will not be disappointed. Rob makes amazing strides equally a person and makes himself into a person Marjorie would exist proud to exist with.
Marjorie is a adept character besides just she doesn't take the affect that Rob does. She is perfect for Rob and manages to corral the ultimate bad boy just I remember she is a sweet heroine without much angst or strife.
Overall, this was a really enjoyable book. It has several nifty characters, sigh worthy moments, and blistering hot love scenes. The buildup to their sex scene is long and drawn out, and then much so that by the fourth dimension it happens the reader will be cheering. Rob does a good thing past easing Marjorie into a sexual relationship. He makes information technology very clear it is all her determination. I'1000 not sure who the adjacent in this series volition exist as the supporting characters are all from Ms. Clare'due south other series. I do know I volition be the first in line when it comes out. I loved the Billionaire Boys Club serial by Jessica Clare then, I was super excited to read this spin off series. There were parts that I liked about this volume and the series has potential only I will admit this volume is not my fave. Hither we have Rob Cannon, who comes beyond a bit smarmy billionaire and Marjorie the amazon similar virgin who feels more at habitation with senior citizens then people her own age.
Afterwards rescusing Rob from a near drowning he is immeditatly taken with this alpine woman only is fearful that she volition not like him when she finds out the truth about him. Marjorie is a virgin and quite socially awkward so she's similar a fish out of water when information technology comes to dating.
For the offset function of the book they both portray themselves as people they recall the other wants instead of beingness themselves. With this part it was hard to become into and it barely caught my attention that I nearly did a DNF but, I dear Jessica Clare and her other books so I was determined to finish it. As the book goes on it gets momentum and the hero and heroine start to be themselves which makes you get into the story a fleck more than. Just for me it was something to do with both characters that just didn't grab me. I couldn't relate to either of them. The idea of the story was expert and it kept me reading but Marj and Rob actually didn't exercise it for me this time around.
It was a cute romance story about an unlikely duo and it included great shoes, bingo, shenanigans, feisty seniors, and also much giggling to help complete the story. I accept to admit there is just something about heroines giggling throughout books that makes me want to throwout my kindle at times. I liked the idea of the story and even though this wasn't my favorite of Jessica Clare's it doesn't mean that I volition quit reading her works. I can't await for Cade'south story in the Billionaire Boys Society also as I'm curious where this serial is going to go from here.

I don't mind the hero's self absorbness at first and like the scene where they both quit pretending to be what they are not.

I love the idea of this heroine. A heroine who loves things not of her generation. I too liked that the hero didn't care virtually her height in fact loved it.I don't mind the hero's self absorbness at first and like the scene where they both quit pretending to be what they are non.

This was the first volume by Ms. Clare that I've read and I know information technology won't exist the last.Rob and Marjorie could non be more than unlike. Rob is president of a network that is basically Girls Gone Wild around the clock. Marjorie likes playing BINGO, shuffleboard and hangs out with older people. She believes in the goodness of people and could not exist more unlike from Rob.
Opposites attract and all that? Correct? Sort of. After saving Rob from drowning, he becomes completely enamored with her and becomes hell-bent on getting to know her in every way he possibly can. Which, of grade, means getting her naked ASAP.
Marjorie decides that she needs to step out of her normal persona and sexual practice it up. What ensues is one of the most effed upwardly showtime dates EVER. Marjorie has some serious wardrobe issues and Rob is totally acting like some kind of robot.
Honestly, I began to question whether or not I'd exist able to relish this book.
My fears were allayed. Rob and Marjorie finally decide to be exactly who they are and at that bespeak, I really started to bask seeing how these ii very different people complemented each other and how they pushed each other to be comfortable in their own skin. Rob has a less than stellar reputation (completely of his own making) but through Marjorie, he begins to see how hurtful what he does can be.
This must be stated. The V carte taking scene in this book was ane of the most detailed and best I've e'er read. The care that Rob takes with Marjorie is staggering. You don't always become that kind of feeling in a scene where one of the characters is a virgin.
As I said earlier, this was my first book by Ms. Clare simply I ran over to Goodreads and added her Billionaire Boys Club series (loosely continued to this series) to my TBR pile. I'm looking frontwards to reading those and I'm definitely looking forrad to the next volume in the Billionaires and Bridesmaids serial.

-Who doesn't desire a billionaire to autumn in love with them?: The premise is 1 I tin get behind - billionaire who is madly attracted to you on sight and will do annihilation for you lot. You lot know. As they do.
-Marjorie'south a alpine gal: I loved that Marjorie is, physically at least, a departure from most heroines. She's vi'1" and she's willowy, not all curves. She's always been made to feel less than because she doesn't fit into your standard definition of beauty. When y'all accost this type of insecurity, more often than not information technology's because a heroine is overweight, or curvy. Y'all don't see acme as a gene very ofttimes and it fabricated this stand out for me. When yous add in the fact that she was raised by her grandparents and is more at domicile at a bingo hall than a nightclub, and yous've got the makings of a very private kind of gal. She's a very likeable heroine and I just loved that she didn't just cave at the beginning sign of difficulty, just she stuck to her ideals and she didn't excuse anything just because she "loved" Rob.
-Rob's boorish and crass, and absolutely likeable: Rob's got a real large mental attitude, larger than life and frankly, a bit of a dick. He's never cared what anyone idea of him and he's made a living beingness a misogynist. He's not perfect, but his transformation for Marjorie and his love for her height (he'due south six pes, so he's a little shorter than Marj) won me over completely:
"Any man who's not secure enough to exist seen with a gorgeous woman who just happens to be taller than him doesn't deserve the aforementioned gorgeous woman. He can become fuck himself."
He treated her with intendance every step of the manner, and when he screwed up, I just wanted him to prepare information technology and become her dorsum.
-Sexy times, and plenty of them: The sexual activity, lordy the sex was copious and well done. Perchance a bit much, simply I'grand not complaining.
-It's a fantasy, so information technology definitely goes there: It's fantastical, not a scrap believable and a flake predictable, simply that didn't diminish my enjoyment. Information technology doesn't reinvent the wheel, merely at that place's no need to. It's a fantasy erotic romance and works well as such.
The Bottom Line
I really enjoyed this romance and I definitely recommend information technology to those who like easy reads with a not your everyday kind of heroine and a hero who starts every bit a dick (but not to the heroine which is all I care virtually, really).

I've been reading Clare's books for a while but, erm, out of order? lol And so I'm just making it dorsum to volume 1 of the series and I had a pretty good time with it. The characters were definitely memorable!
The quick of it is that Marjorie has gone to the islands for a friend's wedding and manages to fish a drowning--yet hunky--homo out of the sea. There's some mutual smitten-ness happening and some naughty shenanigans and maybe a couple secrets being kept, too.
Marjorie and Robert were pretty entertaining. At that place's an instant sizzle betwixt them and some really hilarious and cringe-worthy dating blunders equally they try to impress each other. They're as opposite as opposite can get-- he's a man whore who runs a girls gone wild type goggle box station and she's totally old-fashioned, a virgin and loves shuffleboard and bingo. Simply human being they were fun together and goodness they steamed things upwardly real squeamish.
So one nifty matter. Chickie is hella alpine. Even taller than the hero! I loved that. It was such a unlike thing to see with a couple in romance. And I flipping LOVED his reaction to her long sexy legs.
I was good with them for the about function merely they did both accept some issues. His work life left a lot to be desired. And she overreacted a good bit when she found out what he did. Plus a scrap to hung up on her height especially seeing as how he loved it.
While The Billionaire and the Virgin wasn't my favorite of Clare'southward couples information technology was even so a somewhat silly and steamy read and a fun style to spend a couple hours.

REVIEW: 3 stars--THE BILLIONAIRE AND THE VIRGIN is the kickoff installment in Jessica Clare's new gimmicky, adult Billionaires and Bridesmaids erotic, romance serial-a spin off from her all-time selling Billionaire Boys Society serial-that will focus on the upcoming nuptials of the Billionaire Boys and the women that they love. This is billionaire entrepreneur Robert Cannon and waitress Marjorie Ivarsson's storyline. You do not have to accept read the Billionaire Boys Club serial to understand the premise but the new series focuses on the weddings of the couples we met in Jessica's original serial, and the introduction of new billionaires and friends.
Told from tertiary person point of view the storyline follows Marjorie as she is tasked with existence a bridesmaid at her former co-worker'south wedding-Bronte Dawson and Logan Hawkings (Stranded with a Billionaire #1) destination wedding. Marjorie is a 6'1" 20 four year one-time naïve (well-nigh cloistered) virgin who was raised by her elderly grandparents following the expiry of her parents. Marjorie has spent most of her life surrounded past senior citizens and is at her most comfy socializing with the silver-haired seniors-in this she is socially inadequate, inept and bad-mannered with people her own age and men. Marjorie's low self esteem and poor self image is a past-product of her elevation and the resulting negative comments throughout her life. Rescuing a near drowning Robert Cannon finds our heroine lost in a foreign world where Robert'south vulgarity and crude language are matched by the size of his wallet and their attraction to one some other.
Robert Cannon is a self made billionaire, a boob tube producer who fabricated his money through the virtual world of trashy boob tube and The Men's Channel. He is a man whose language is blueish, and his reputation with the women precedes his introduction. But Marjorie is oblivious to Robert'south history, his business, his money and his connection to Logan Hawkings. Robert is stalking Logan in the hopes of negotiating a television set deal.
The human relationship betwixt Robert and Marjorie is one of firsthand allure simply Marjorie's over the pinnacle naivete and Robert'due south crude and vulgar personality are distractions to the overall enjoyment of the storyline and likeability of the couple. Their commencement couple of dates are a disaster, uncomfortable and would accept sent most people packing. Merely Robert persists in his pursuit of Marjorie until the truth about how he makes his money and his connection to Logan is revealed. Marjorie will return abode heartbroken and lost. The sex scenes are intimate, exploratory and at times, awkward due to the heroine's lack of experience.
All of the previous storyline series' heroines are present only their significant others (excluding Logan) are more or less absent or silent. The bridesmaids are ever present and offering advice about dating, relationships and sex activity.
At that place comes a time when likewise many reminders and the redundancy of some of the plot points make information technology difficult to bask a story. We are constantly reminded about Marjorie's lack of experience and her height; and Robert'southward overuse of cuss words and swearing became a bit too much particularly in a romance storyline.
I love Jessica'southward BILLIONAIRE BOYS Social club serial-her heroes and heroines, their stories and their love but something was missing from THE BILLIONAIRE AND THE VIRGIN-there was no spark, no palpable energy, no real connection and very little sympathy for our hero. In fact, the writing did not 'feel' like Jessica Clare merely more than similar someone else. Information technology wasn't until Robert's return to culture did the story accept on a completely different feel.
If y'all are a fan of Jessica's BILLIONAIRE BOYS CLUB I would still recommend giving the new series a try. I am hoping my disappointment in this storyline is a fluke and the adjacent installment volition pull me back into the fold.

The Billionaire and the Virgin by Jessica Clare was a fun read. Information technology was exactly what I expected and I was pleasantly surprised to detect myself laughing out loud several times. I was a little worried at first expecting all the cliches to present themselves but alas the story was unlike and told very well. This was a quick read, done in one evening, sort of reminded me of a romantic comedy I might watch on the big screen.

The Billionaire and the Virgin by Jessica Clare was a fun read. It was exactly what I expected and I was pleasantly surprised to find myself laughing out loud several times. Marjorie Ivarsson is your run of the mill twenty something virgin. LOL sort of...
Marjorie was raised by elderly grandparents surrounding herself with everything sometime. She'due south a scrap of a misfit. Non only in personality but in stature. She'due south 6'1" and lanky and therefore teased a lot. She forgets her peers and sticks to the old people. Naive is definitely a good discussion to describe her. Her experience is limited and onetime fashioned. So when she meets the brash, filthy mouthed, sexy, Robert Cannon, she'south non quite certain what to think.
Both are on this private isle, Robert is vacationing and Marjorie is attending her adept friends hymeneals. They meet each other quite unconventionally and comedy ensues. I enjoyed the banter between the ii. The inner dialogue had me cracking up at times. Neither of them really knew what to do with each other and watching them attempt to navigate each others worlds...well...y'all just have to read it!
I was beholden that although there is sex, it's not necessarily the driving cistron in this story. And so even though it may appear predictable it really is a sugariness romance that should go out you smile.
