Master your favourite dishes with these iconic grills

Uncover the perfect kitchen sidekick with George Foreman, the world's no.1* grill brand.

If you're after maximum flavour with minimal effort, not to mention increased nutritional benefits, then grilling your food really is the way to go – and you don't have to wait for the weather to warm up and get the barbecue out to cook like this, either. With the celebrated George Foreman grill range, you can unlock a whole world of delicious possibilities from the comfort of your very own kitchen.

Whether it's a sizzling steak with chimichurri, spectacular chargrilled veggies or something a little sweeter, each of the brand's 21 grills are specially designed to help you make light work of just about any recipe, be it a timesaving midweek meal or a weekend treat that may feel a little out of your comfort zone.

Take the Flexe Grill, for instance. Created to give you the best of both worlds, it features a 180° hinge that allows you to switch between contact grilling and flat open griddling. This expert grill also comes with improved non-stick plates that means you can clean them in just one wipe**, while the built-in drip tray collects any grease or fat for an even easier cleaning experience. And when you're done, the Flexe Grill can be vertically stored, and the cord wrap neatly tucked away. Perfection!

Get ready to Grill & Chill

From the cooking shows you look to for culinary inspiration, to the cosy nights you spend curled up in front of the TV with a takeaway, there's no denying that TV and food go hand-in-hand. That's why George Foreman has launched its exciting Grill & Chill campaign, which is encouraging the nation to whip up quick and delicious meals at home, instead of scrolling through takeaway apps and waiting hungrily on deliveries.

While ordering in may seem like the more convenient option, research has found that Brits spend around 11.5 days of their adult lives deciding what to have, and a further 37 days waiting for their takeaway to be delivered. But, with a George Foreman grill, you can create delectable restaurant-quality meals that can be cooked in minutes – and the iconic electric grill brand has even created some popular recipes to help get you started.

Inspired by Britain's love of entertainment, George Foreman has been busy finding out which recipes from the screen you'd most love to cook at home. Favourites include Matilda's famous chocolate cake, as well as the spaghetti and meatballs featured in Disney's animated classic, Lady & The Tramp. Another popular choice was the indulgent meatball sub enjoyed by Friends' food-loving Joey Tribiani (when you have a George Foreman grill, this one is so easy to recreate).

So, watch the video above or keep reading to discover a sub recipe so good, it'd have even Joey himself asking,

"How you doin'?"…

SERVES 2 - PREP 5-10 mins, plus chilling COOK 10-15 mins - EASY

Inspired by Friends : Joey's meatball sub

Ingredients

250g 5% beef mince

½ small onion

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

½ tsp dried oregano

35-40g breadcrumbs

1 free-range egg

300g marinara sauce

2 sub rolls

200g grated mozzarella

small handful of basil leaves, to serve

Method

1 Mix the beef mince, onion, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, breadcrumbs, egg and some salt and freshly ground pepper in a large mixing bowl. Once thoroughly combined, divide the mixture into 12 golf-sized balls. Place on a tray, cover with cling film and chill in the fridge for 20 mins.

2 Heat your grill to high and line a baking tray with baking parchment. Add the meatballs to the tray and cook for 6-8 mins until cooked through. Meanwhile, heat the marinara sauce and place into a mixing bowl. Cut the sub rolls in half lengthways.

3 Add the cooked meatballs to the hot marinara sauce and mix so each one is generously coated in the sauce. Open the sub rolls and divide the meatballs between them, then scatter over the grated mozzarella and finish with a few basil leaves.

4 Place the rolls onto the grill for 1-2 mins until the cheese has melted. Leave to cool slightly and enjoy while still warm.

5 Serve up and dig in. Don't wear your favourite white t-shirt while enjoying this sub, because it's a messy one!
